How Do I Go to Confession?

It is not to the priest you confess your sins, but to Jesus, the healer.

Lent is a time for metanoia – for turning back to the Lord. We strive to turn away from sin, and be faithful to the Gospel.

The Sacrament of Confession is a wonderful sacrament of healing. In this sacrament, we hear the words of Christ, spoken through the priest:

“I absolve you from your sins…”

Let us take up the opportunities to frequent the Sacrament of Confession during this Lenten season; make that turning back to the Lord an opportunity for grace. Throughout the deanery, there are lots of opportunities to celebrate the sacrament. Dates and times of the sacrament of Confession can be found here.

Perhaps you haven’t been to Confession for a while. If so, here is a short video which you may find helpful.
